Finding Links For High Google Ranking
When it comes to choosing links, Google is perhaps the easiest search engine to understand: the higher the PageRank of the site, the more valuable the link. Your best strategy then is going to be to write to sites placed above you in Google’s search engine. You can take your keyword list, toss them into Google and receive an instant list of every site that can give you a valuable link. The problem, of course, is motivating those sites to link to you.
For some sites, a simple request can do the trick. That can work when the site has a spot for recommended links and isn’t a competitor. The best strategy is to put a link to that site up on your site first and let them know. If they don’t respond or if they respond negatively, you can take their link down and move on.
If the site has a spot for comments, such as after a blog entry or an article, then you’re on Easy Street. Add your own two cents and include your link. You don’t have to say anything about your site, and you don’t want to turn the source site into a free advertising billboard for you. That will just get you cut out. Make the comment good, and you’ll have paid for the link and advertised the quality of your content. That’s all you need to do.
You can’t expect to get links from every site above you in Google but even just a few will get you climbing the rankings. And don’t ignore the sites beneath you too! They might not be worth as much as the top ranked sites but they can still bring you benefits.
